Tattooth

Dig these “white collar tattoos” by Heward Dental Lab. In their words:

We at Heward Dental Lab have been in the Crown and Bridge business for over 30 years. We have found that there is a lack of true artists in our industry. Our technicians were trained first to be artist’s and then taught how to construct teeth. We are very well known for our realistic and unique tooth artwork.

They Should’ve Taken The Pledge

The folks at Adbuster’s must be feeling pretty justified at this point. This has to be one of the ugliest manifestations of American consumerism to date. In the end, one man died, and a young woman had a miscarriage. This current economy appears to be producing a heightened level of savagery.

Book Typesetting

“The adaptation of Thomas Fuller’s phrase “A book that is shut is but a block” in the previous bookshelves installation was illustrated by my use of the book for their shape and colour, rather than content; as it is, Muller-Brockmann orange grid book is only interesting for its vermilion a4 shape.

Take the Pledge

Buy Nothing Day is an informal day of protest against consumerism observed by social activists. Typically celebrated the Friday after Thanksgiving in North America and the next day internationally, in 2008 the dates will be November 28 and 29 respectively. It was founded by Vancouver artist Ted Dave and subsequently promoted by the Canadian Adbusters magazine.

Let Your Feet Do the Talking

We came across these little diddies by way of Kanye West’s blog. By the way, this has no connection to the ‘consumer-fest’ of Black Friday. They’re just really amusing socks.

Power to the Poster

Power to the Poster is a website that showcases posters for change. This creation is brought to you by yours truly. The poster was created in response to the Supreme Court’s decision on the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill. To download, you know the drill.
