Los Angeles joins the global ban
The city of Los Angeles recently approved a bill to ban plastic bags by 2010. Here is a list of other countries and cities that have already joined the cause. In Africa, Eritrea, Somalia, and Rwanda are leading the way. San Francisco, California (of course), Melbourne, Australia, China, and Israel have implemented the ban.
